Mac is our Worship Leader at Yankee Road.
My wife Mary and I have been active in Church work all our lives. Mary is a “preachers kid” and grew up in a home that was saturated with all the things that are associated with ministry. Both of us got saved in childhood and both of us grew up under her fathers’ ministry. He was associated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and preached the Word for 76 years.
Since high school our lives have been involved with the Church. We have been married 53 years with 3 daughters, 7 grand children and 1 great grand child. For several years my daughters sang with me as a trio and we sang all over the tri-state area in various Churches, festivals and Lebanon camp meetings. I worked for General Motors for 36 years. In that time I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, while we both were very active in the Church of God in Germantown. We started to attend the Church of God in 1975 and have loved it ever since.
We have been involved in Youth ministry, Singles ministry, and I was Sunday school Superintendent, taught Sunday school classes, have been minister of music and visitation Pastor for the Germantown Church and Yankee Road. I was ordained in 2002 while ministering at Yankee Road, and our ministry here was from 1998 to 2004. When we left in 2004, I became senior pastor of a church in New Castle, Indiana. After ministering there for over two years, we went back to the Germantown Church which had no pastor at the time and so we helped fill the pulpit, visit and lead music for two years.
One of my ministerial “passions” is visitation. I have done that in every Church I have been involved with. I recently completed classes in Continuing Pastoral Education at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton and am a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors with the title of Pastoral Care Specialist.
Currently, Mary and I have a ministry in Franklin, Ohio, at Sherman Glen Retirement Center. For over two years now we have met at 2:00 on Sunday afternoon and have a regular Church service, music, testimonies, preaching etc.
Yankee Road is special to us and we are excited to be part of the Pastoral team. We look forward to serving in anyway we can. We pray our ministry will exalt The Lord and that He will use us to edify the Church and through our ministry lead someone to Christ.
InChrist, Mac and Mary
